Limor Shreibman-Sharir (in Hebrew: לימור שרייבמן-שריר) is an Israeli writer and physician. She was Miss Israel in 1973 and placed fifth in the Miss Universe pageant. ==Biography== Limor Sharir was born and grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel. The daughter of Eliezer Shreibman, a school principal. She graduated from Tichon Ironi Alef high school. In 1972 she enlisted in the Israeli army, and in 1973 she won Israel's beauty queen contest. She was a contestant in the Miss Universe contest held in Greece in 1973 and placed fifth. When the competition was over, Sharir returned to the IDF as a clerk of general Shmuel Gonen who had since been promoted to Southern Command of the Israel Defense Forces.〔 Elkayam, Liat (7 September 2013). Later, she would study at the Sackler faculty of medicine of Tel Aviv University where she would earn her medical doctorate. Her dissertation was presented to an international conference in New York and subsequently published in The Journal of Thoracic Cardiovascular Surgery. She made her Internship in Sheba Medical Center, where she worked several years. Today she is a volunteer of Physicians for Human Rights-Israel.〔 Galron-Goldschläger, Joseph.
